The aim of this study is to evaluate the geodiversity, potential geological heritage, geo-culture elements in Bahçecik (Gümüşhane) and its surroundings from the perspective of geotourism potential and bring them to the attention of the society. It is to transform the Bahçecik geotourism route into an enriched geotourism route with adding other natural, cultural beauties and historical values in the vicinity of this route. In this way, awareness will be created about the phenomenon of geo-heritage and geotourism, and it will contribute to people's more efficient and knowledge-based interaction with nature. In this study, remarkable geomorphological/geological structures, historical mosques, lithological diversity, fairy chimneys, waterfalls, geological type section locations, occasional enclaves, drinking water dam pond, churches, castles, plant diversity, ore deposits and actual travertine formations have been brought to the attention of the society in the perspective of the enriched geotourism route and thus awareness has been tried to be created. The proposed route is a 1-day tour that includes both historical and natural beauties and geological natural cultural assets and is a very attractive enriched geotourism destination.
