Abstract

Nanotechnology is the production and use of materials in the dimensions of one billionth of a meter for industrial purposes at atomic, molecular and supramolecular dimensions. Producing and actively using materials of this size and also changing them is the success of the century. It has a great and important impact on nations. With the production of nano devices, it has been possible to observe the biological systems of humanity at molecular dimensions, to find and apply new promising treatment methods, to produce new materials, to add new functions to existing materials, to develop electronic and computer technologies at nanoscale, to develop environmentally friendly energy-producing materials, to catch up with the age and not to lag behind the age in the military and defense sector, which is of great importance for nations, and to make new and promising developments in agriculture, food, health and many other sectors that come to mind. This study discusses the existence, importance and applications of nanotechnology.
