Since humanity existed, different kinds of voices have been around people constantly. When different kinds of sounds, from human or natural or artificial sounds to the sounds made by animals, reach an uncomfortable size, people have tried to find solutions in various ways. Noise is not only in the pollution that took place in modern time, but also in a past that dates back to the era. Therefore, coping with noise, finding solutions to problems can occur by recognizing noise and awareness of noise. Various studies on noise awareness are carried out in the national and international platform. With the “Regulation on the Protection of Buildings Against Noise” which entered into force in 2018, the noise problem was clearly identified in our country and the definition of the acoustic specialist was included in the architects for the solution of the problem. Beyond passing the trainings given to become an acoustic expert, it is important to perceive noise, to adopt its problems, and to accumulate knowledge in the stages of finding solutions. In this respect, it is important for architects to approach noise and to increase their awareness in undergraduate education. In this context, in our study; A survey was conducted to measure the perspective and awareness of architect and city planner candidates towards noise. The aim of the study is to investigate the awareness of noise on architects - city and regional planning candidates in 2020 (International year of sound 2020), which has become the most important problem of today, and works on regulations and standards and solutions for this problem are continuing rapidly. As a method, firstly (43 people), 2nd class (39 people) and 3rd class (14 people), City and Regional Planning 1st class (9 people) students of Siirt University Department of Architecture, noise awareness was evaluated. . In addition, the differences in terms of awareness and awareness with the other classes were studied in the elective course of noise and acoustics of 3rd grade students. In the results of working; Graphs were created for determining awareness through questionnaire questions and analysis was carried out.
