Abstract

This study was carried out for the winter season of 2015-2016. In this study, it is aimed to determine suitable high yield red lentil genotypes in Mardin conditions. 20 winter genotypes and five control lentil varieties (Altıntoprak, Çağıl, Fırat-87, Seyrani-96 and Yerli Red) originating from ICARDA and in the Southeastern Anatolia region were used. Trial randomised block design were set up in 3 repetitions according to the trial pattern. All the features examined in the research were statistically significant. According to the results obtained; number of days of flowering 143.7-158.8 days, number of days of ripening 187.5-198.9 days, plant height 26.7-49.6 cm, height of first pod 13.4-34.1 cm, branch in plant 1.96-3.33 pieces / plant, number of pods in plant 14.7-29.0 count / pods, The number of grains in the plant varies between 16.9-33.5 / plant, plant grain yield between 0.29-0.75 g, 100 grain weight between 31.8-37.7 g and 1445-2164 kg / ha-1 in terms of grain yield. In the study, the highest grain yield was obtained from G2 (2111 kg /ha-1) and G5 (2070 kg /ha-1), while it was 2164 kg /ha-1 in Fırat-89 variety. In terms of grain yield, two genotypes (G2 and G5) were transferred to an advanced generation in our region
