THE EFFECT OF MOTIVATIONAL INTERVIEW METHOD IN INDIVIDUALS WITH DIAGNOSIS OF SCHIZOPHRENIA ON DRUG ADAPTATION: A META-ANALYSIS STUDY

This main purpose is to reveal the drug compliance of the motivational interview method in the research informatics in individuals diagnosed with schizophrenia. The study, in January-February 2021 period, PubMed, Web of Science, EBSCOhost, Pscyh-Info, Turkish Psychiatry Index, Ulakbim, YÖK National Thesis Center, Dergipark, Turkish Medline and Turkey in clinical databases, was accomplished by scanning the articles are examined. 1713 records were reached in the screening. Later, 825 articles, the full text of which was accessed, were examined according to science and exclusion criteria, and 4 studies were analyzed that reported results on the effect of motivational interviewing on drug compliance in individuals with schizophrenia. In this study, the number of experimental group sample 190 (49.47%) and the control group sample number 194 (51.53%) to be considered in the 4 studies included in the meta-analysis included a total of 384 individuals. Three of the studies included in the study were randomized controlled quasi-experimental studies and one was pre-test-post-test controlled. Our study concluded that the motivational interview method is effective in individuals diagnosed with schizophrenia. Perhaps this research is recommended to be conducted for researches on research articles in Turkish society on the basis of written research.
