Abstract

Today, solutions are being developed to prevent occupational injuries in the foundry industry. The aim of Law No. 6331 and the OHS legislation enacted within its framework is to minimize workplace diseases and injuries. It is important that employees receive the necessary training that forms the basis of OHS safety management. It is of great importance to implement inspections and measures regarding OHS in the foundry sector in a form that will develop the safety culture and raise awareness in this regard. Accidents encountered in the foundry sector when considering all working areas; physical injuries, poisoning - infection, organ loss, explosion -fire induced burning, vibration-induced pressure effects. The aim of this study is to look at the number of incapacitated insured men and women, as well as the total number of incapacitated insured, for the foundry market, which is one of the metal industry's subdivisions, using SGK statistical occupational injury data from 2013 to 2019. Furthermore, according to the type of injury and gender, distribution charts of those who had occupational accidents and those who died as a result of occupational accidents were produced, and knowledge of occupational safety culture and responsibilities of the regulation against occupational accidents were examined according to the situation of occurrence during development.
