Abstract

Today, metals, alloys and composites are used in various manufactures by combining them with soluble connection techniques. In particular, in steel structures, plate type connections of different manufactures are combined with bolt connections, ensuring fast installation. Bolts are frequently used as fasteners in the assembly of steel construction structures, which are frequently encountered in the past. Along with the developing technology, the need for the production of innovative designs for these bolts has started. In the studies conducted in this field, firstly, the stress on the structural elements is determined both by experimental roads and numerically. After the contact surfaces and fixation constraints were determined, the study was carried out under stagnant system conditions. In this study, in order to calculate the strength of the material under axial and radial loading conditions, a finite element technique analysis has been performed in a steel construction structure when the same type of plates are connected by bolt connection. In addition, the final product was obtained by topological optimization on the bolt. Thus, it is aimed to obtain the most appropriate mass geometry and the safest stress distribution that will lead to material savings. The solid model of the building bolt to be analyzed for these operations was first created in the Siemens NX 10.0 program. The created solid model was transferred to Autodesk Inventor Professional 2020 and Autodesk Fusion 360 - Ultimate software. Eight node iso parametric elements were used in the creation of the finite element model. 42CrMo4 steel and 8.8 quality group were chosen as the material for the bolt
