Primer Baş Ağrısı Olan Hastalarda Homosistein Folik Asit, Vit B12 ve Eser Element Düzeylerinin Değerlendirilmesi

Özet

Primer baş ağrısının bir çok tipi vardır.  Homosistein  oksidatif strese neden olmaktadır. B12 vitamini ve folik asit azalması hiperhomosisteinemiye yol açmaktadır. Çinkonun oksidatif strese karşı koruyucu, bakırın ise oksidatif strese neden olduğu gösterilmiştir. Bu çalışma primer baş ağrısı olan hastalarda oksidatif hasara neden olan homosistein ve B12 vitamini, folik asit, çinko, bakır düzeylerindeki değişiklikleri belirlemeyi ve bu parametrelerin hastalığın etiyolojisine katkısını saptamayı amaçlamıştır. Çalışmaya 30 primer baş ağrısı tanısı almış hasta (Grup I) ve 30 tamamen sağlıklı birey (Grup II) olmak üzere toplam 60 kişi dahil edildi. Çalışmadaki gruplar arasında serum homosistein, folik asit, B12 vitamini, çinko ve bakır düzeyleri karşılaştırıldı. Grup I'de homosistein düzeylerinde istatistiksel olarak anlamlı artış (p<0,05), folik asit düzeylerinde ise istatistiksel olarak anlamlı azalma (p<0,05) gözlendi. Vitamin B12, çinko ve bakır düzeylerinde gruplar arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı fark bulunmadı (p>0,05). Primer baş ağrısı olan hastalarda, homosistein ve folik asit düzeylerinin etiyolojide rol oynayabileceğini ve folik asit’in  tedavide kullanılabileceğini düşünmekteyiz.
