This study was conducted to determine the effects of plant density on yield and someagricultural characters of thee maize cultivars grown as double crop under irrigated conditionsof Harran Plain at Külünçe Village. The research was planned as split plots with fourreplications. In this study, the cultivars (Elianthea, P3167, PX 9540) were main plots, the plantdensities (4000, 5500, 7000, 8500, 10000, 11500, 13000 plants/da) were sub plots. In thisresearch there were not significant differences in plant height, ear length, ear diameter, the rownumber of ear, number of grain in the row of ear, ear weight, hectolitre weight and crude proteinratio was significantly different among cultivars. Generally all parameters were significantlyeffected by plant density except ear height, the row number of ear, hectolitre weight and 1000grain weight the ear weight grain yield per ear and grain yield were increased by increasingplant density.
