Abstract


ARDUINO BASED PRECISION SCALE APPLICATION THAT CAN BE USED IN GENERAL PURPOSE MONITORING AND AUTOMATİON CONTROL IN WET FOOD DRYER SYSTEMS

Drying wet foods precisely and at a certain value is one of the factors directly affecting product quality. For this, fast response to the control parameters and correct control are important in the process. In this study, a precision scale application that can be used in experimental analysis, which can be used in determining the parameters of an industrial dryer design that can be used to dry wet foods more efficiently, has been implemented. Laurel leaves, apricots, hazelnuts, etc., which are found in their natural environment as wet. Drying of food for various purposes is one of the important study subjects of energy engineering. The efficiency of the drying processes is tested first by measuring the weight of the wet foods in the experiments of the dryer, which is carried out for the determination of the correct drying method in the industrial dryer design and the selection of the correct actuator and parameters. In these systems, microwave, infrared, motor etc. should be used for applications that may need to be measured precisely in grams or kilograms according to the type of food to be dried, and drying process. actuators need control. In this study, an LCD Screen and arduino mega programming board with ATmega2560 processor are used to transfer data to the computer in order to analyze the data with the computer in order to observe the weight during the experiments. For high precision measurements, a loadcell amplifier using ZEMIC brand L6D-C3-5kg-0.4B model and 24-bit high resolution HX711 ADC processor is included. Asynchronous motor providing air to the environment, etc. Automatic control of the devices is also provided. Temperature measurement, humidity, ultraviolet (UV) amount of light, etc. as well as weight measurement using the Arduino processor's digital and analog inputs and functions. It is also possible to measure and observe the variables of the environment. According to the tests carried out, thanks to the created algorithm, the control of the actuators in the environment can be controlled simultaneously with the data changes.
